Acceptable Use Policy

The categories of campaigns, content, and conduct that are not allowed on White Flower Foundation — aligned with U.S. law and the requirements of our payment processor.

Last updated: May 21, 2026

1 Overview

White Flower Foundation exists to help real people raise money for real needs. To keep the Platform safe, lawful, and welcoming for everyone — donors, organizers, beneficiaries, and the wider community — every campaign, every piece of content, and every action on the Platform must comply with this Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP").

This AUP works alongside our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Refund & Cancellation Policy. It also reflects the requirements of our payment processor and applicable U.S. law. We may update this policy at any time; the most current version always applies.

2 Who Is Responsible

Campaign organizers are fully responsible for the legality, truthfulness, and appropriateness of the campaigns they create, including the content they post and how funds raised are used. White Flower Foundation acts as a technology platform — we are not a party to the underlying cause and we do not endorse, verify the ultimate outcome of, or guarantee any individual fundraiser.

That said, we actively work to keep the Platform clean: we review submissions, respond to reports, and remove content that violates this AUP. We may also share information with law enforcement when appropriate.

3 Prohibited Campaigns & Activities

The following categories of campaigns, businesses, and activities are not allowed on White Flower Foundation. This list is aligned with our payment processor's prohibited and restricted activities and with applicable U.S. law. It is not exhaustive — we reserve the right to refuse any campaign we believe poses a risk to our community or violates the spirit of this policy.

Illegal activity, fraud, and financial crime

  • Any activity that is unlawful under U.S. federal, state, or local law, or under the law of the organizer's or beneficiary's jurisdiction.
  • Fundraising for fines, criminal restitution, or in support of ongoing illegal conduct.
  • Money laundering, terrorist financing, or transactions involving sanctioned individuals, entities, or countries (including OFAC-listed parties).
  • Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, multi-level marketing, chain referrals, "get-rich-quick" programs, matrix programs, or other "make money fast" arrangements.
  • Bribery, kickbacks, or any campaign intended to influence a government official.

Regulated and restricted products

  • Controlled substances, narcotics, illegal drugs, and drug paraphernalia, including any cannabis, CBD, kratom, or psychedelic products outside what is permitted by federal law.
  • Prescription medications, "research chemicals," compounded or unapproved pharmaceuticals, and any product sold with unsupported medical claims.
  • Tobacco, smokeless tobacco, e-cigarettes, vapor products, vape liquids, and related accessories.
  • Firearms, ammunition, gun parts, weapons of any kind, explosives, fireworks, and related accessories.
  • Alcohol, where the campaign is intended to fund production, distribution, or sale in a jurisdiction without the required licenses.
  • Counterfeit, replica, or unauthorized goods and any item that infringes on intellectual property rights.

Adult content and services

  • Sexually explicit content, pornography, adult subscription services, escort or companionship services, sexual massage, and any commercial sex service.
  • Any campaign involving minors in sexual, suggestive, or exploitative contexts. This is a zero-tolerance category and will be reported to authorities.

Gambling and high-risk financial activity

  • Gambling, betting, casinos, sports betting, lotteries, sweepstakes, raffles, fantasy sports with cash prizes, and skill-based contests with entry fees and cash prizes.
  • Speculative or high-risk investment schemes, binary options, contracts for difference, foreign-exchange (forex) trading services, and unlicensed brokerage or money-services businesses.
  • Cryptocurrency trading, mining, initial coin offerings (ICOs), NFTs sold as investments, and other crypto-asset offerings not exempt under applicable law.
  • Debt collection, debt settlement, credit-repair services, payday lending, and "no-questions-asked" credit programs.

Hate, violence, and harm to others

  • Promoting or supporting hate, harassment, violence, terrorism, or discrimination against any individual or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Funding mercenaries, paramilitary activity, or violent organizations.
  • Bullying, doxing, or targeted harassment of any individual.
  • Threats of physical harm or campaigns intended to incite violence.

Misleading, deceptive, or unverifiable campaigns

  • Campaigns where the organizer cannot demonstrate, when asked, that they have a clear connection to the beneficiary or to the stated cause.
  • Campaigns containing false, misleading, or unverifiable claims about a medical condition, treatment, achievement, or outcome.
  • Campaigns that misrepresent how funds will be used.
  • "Deepfake" images, video, or audio of real people without their consent, and AI-generated content that misrepresents real events, people, or beneficiaries.
  • Impersonation of any person, organization, business, or charity.

Privacy, security, and platform abuse

  • Collection, sale, or sharing of personal data without proper authorization, including spyware, stalkerware, hacking tools, and "people search" services that violate applicable law.
  • Phishing, malware distribution, and any attempt to compromise the Platform or other users.
  • Use of bots, scrapers, or other automated means to interact with the Platform.
  • Manipulation of donations, supporter counts, reviews, or any other metric on the Platform.

4 Prohibited Content

Even when a campaign's underlying cause is legitimate, the following content is not permitted anywhere on the Platform — in titles, stories, images, comments, or updates:

  • Graphic violence, gore, or content that exploits a person in a moment of suffering.
  • Sexually explicit or suggestive imagery.
  • Personal information of third parties (such as home address, phone number, or government ID) shared without their consent.
  • Slurs, dehumanizing language, or content that promotes hate against a protected group.
  • Spam, repeated unsolicited messages, or off-topic promotional content.
  • Links to malicious sites, malware, or sites that violate this AUP.

5 Prohibited Donor Conduct

Donors must also use the Platform in good faith. The following conduct is prohibited:

  • Submitting payments with stolen, unauthorized, or fraudulent credentials.
  • Filing payment disputes or chargebacks for legitimate, completed donations without first contacting us, as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
  • Coordinated or repeated refund or chargeback activity intended to abuse the donation process.
  • Using the donation system to send messages that violate Section 4 (Prohibited Content) — for example, harassing a campaign organizer through donation messages.

6 Enforcement

If we believe in good faith that a campaign, account, or action violates this AUP, our Terms of Use, applicable law, or the requirements of our payment processor, we may take any or all of the following actions, with or without prior notice:

  • Edit, hide, or remove the offending campaign or content.
  • Suspend or permanently terminate the organizer's access to the Platform.
  • Withhold, freeze, or reverse the release of funds related to the campaign.
  • Refund donors, in whole or in part.
  • Report the activity to our payment processor, the relevant authorities, or impacted third parties.
  • Pursue any other remedy available under law or these policies.

We may also take action to prevent suspected violations before they cause harm — including pausing a campaign while we complete a review.

7 Reporting a Violation

If you believe a campaign, message, or action on the Platform violates this AUP, please tell us. Reports help us protect the community and keep the Platform safe.

Please include the URL of the campaign or content in question, a short description of the concern, and any supporting information you can share. We treat reports confidentially to the extent reasonably possible.

8 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time to reflect changes in our practices, our payment processor's requirements, or applicable law. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, when changes are material, take additional reasonable steps to notify users. Your continued use of the Platform after the updated policy takes effect constitutes acceptance of the changes.
